Nice to see new version ... but, I can't start swiftfox now :

Same problem with this update, and same system.
I already have this lib in /usr/lib /usr/lib64 and /lib64 maybe a path error in SwiftFox?
Thank to do something quickly, I've now to work without this browser, and this is a real problem here.

So, I've not this lib in /usr/lib32 and I tried to copy the lib, bot I've a ELF class error.
Now, I try to download this lib in 32b and copy this in good path...

Same error Same error after upgrading to 2.0.0.7-1

I have an Ubuntu 6.10 and using package swiftfox-athlon-xp Code: uname -a

I've manualy copy the libXcomposite lib in 32b to /usr/lib32 and now I get:

I can't find older version of swiftfox...
Does anyone know where to get older version to temporaly correct this bug? It's very important here!

This isn't exactly a swiftfox problem. It's an ubuntu problem regarding a library inconsistency between Feisty and Gutsy.
The affected library (ia32-libs) is required for 32-bit items to work on 64-bit systems, so only 64-bit systems are affected.
Lots of other software besides swiftfox is affected, whenever someone develops on Gutsy and installs on Feisty.
Go to:
http://packages.ubuntu.com/feisty/libs
You need to download the i386 versions of "libxcomposite1" and "libxdamage1" (note: NOT libxcb-).
Use "Archive Manager" (not debian installer) to open each file, extract each data.tar.gz in turn, and from that file
extract the files in each "usr/lib", two files from each package, one library and one link. As the superuser (sudo),
you need to move those four files to "/usr/lib32/", and change their ownerships to "root:root". IMPORTANT: Be sure not
to touch the files in /usr/lib, which are 64-bit libraries on 64-bit systems. Extract the files to some local directory
or the desktop.
By doing all that, you resolve the package inconsistancies between Feisty and Gutsy. You have to do it this way
(for now) in order to get i386 libraries on AMD64 systems, which normal installers don't do every easily.
My guess is that this problem will eventually be fixed by an updated ia32-libs package for Feisty, but untill then,
this fix works.

Small problem - I'm running the 32 bit edition of ubuntu, but from a minimal install. libxcomposite wasn't installed, and I had to grab it manually (using the normal apt method worked fine).
Something to add to the dependency list?

I had the impression that mozilla-type browsers (in .tar form) are completely standalone and therefore can run as 32 on a 64 system. Certainly the 2.0.0.7 version I downloaded from mozilla.com can run without the above fix.
